The Château de la Chipaudière
Discover the Château de la Chipaudière
The Malouinière de la Chipaudière, also known as the Château de la Chipaudière, was erected in Paramé in the eighteenth century by François Auguste Magon de la Lande. This magnificent residence is in the style of country houses that were fashionable at the time. Its architecture has a rectangular plan, and at the rear of the façade, there is a polygonal front body surmounted by a pediment housing the oval dining room. The French gardens extend in front of the house, offering a perspective view leading to a mirror of water surrounded by two alleys lined with majestic century-old lime trees.
The Malouinière de la Chipaudière, or Château de la Chipaudière, represents one of the largest malouinières of Saint-Malo, these sumptuous pleasure homes built by shipowners.
